The first two time slots are leagues for boys/girls who have never played or have some experience with the game. Teams will be divided fairly! Grades 1-4: There will be 3 weeks of instruction only designed to teach skills, technique and sportsmanship. The last 6 weeks are league type games with instruction as necessary. The 5th-6th grade time slot will consist of advanced skills and drills with competitve games to follow. Volunteer parent coaches are needed to assist lead instructor in all grade levels!

DESCRIPTION:
The NFL/Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Competition will be held at Thiel College's Alumni Stadium on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Registration begins at 1:00 PM.

The competition is open to boys and girls ages 8-15 in GALSA's service area. Admission is free. All participants are asked to provide a copy of their birth certificate at the time of registration.

No cleats are allowed. Only soft soled shoes are permitted.

The participants will get one chance at punting, passing and kicking. It is an accuracy test as well as a distance test. The winner of each division will move on the the next round of competition based on his/her total score for the day.

Refreshments will be provided.

This is America's leading exercise program designed just for older adults. Members receive a basic fitness center membership at no cost. The program includes use of basic amenities and access to our signature class, which will be offered at each site. SilverSneakers is typically available to Medicare eligible members of a sponsoring health plan. Medicare eligible members are adults age 65 and older, or, in some cases, those of any age deemed disabled and receiving Medicare.
FEES: $2 per session if not eligible through Highmark.
